10 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Collision (June 24)

3. The Greatest Commentary Team In The Game?

AEW Collision Nigel McGuinness Kevin Kelly
AEW

In regards to AEW, Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness have only been an on-air partnership for two episodes of TV, but already this pairing is shaping up to be one of the best in the business.

Of course, Kelly and McGuinness have worked together before, doing an excellent job for Ring of Honor back in the day. For those who didn't particularly pay too much attention to ROH, though, this may appear like an entirely new commentary pairing.

Most importantly, this duo bring a uniqueness to AEW Collision where it pertains to the commentary seen elsewhere across Dynamite and Rampage. This isn't a knock on the announce teams for those shows, but Kelly and McGuinness are enthusiastic without being over-the-top, are informative without overloading the audience, and have a general tone and calmness to them that it means more when they do get animated.

For your writer, Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman are the A-team in professional wrestling commentary these days, but Kelly and McGuinness could well soon be challenging for that crown.
