10 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 4)

1. Kenny Goes 1-0

So, not only did Eddie Edwards choose an inanimate object as his tag team partner to battle Reno Scum, but the pair (if you can call them that) actually went on to win the match, which was essentially a two on one handicap encounter.

Obviously, Kenny spent the majority of the match in the corner - not that it had much choice. To be fair to him, Eddie did manage to take the fight to Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend, and even managed to make a hot tag to the kendo stick. However, when Kenny became a legal participant in the match and Eddie started swinging him around, shouldn't that technically have been a disqualification for Thornstowe and Luster?

A Boston Knee Party from Eddie was enough for he and Kenny to pick up the victory in this 'tag team' match. Aside from the fact that a kendo stick was an actual competitor in a wrestling match, it was a decent bout for what it was, and Don Callis was superb on commentary, claiming Kenny didn't care about his partner as it remained in the corner. Some excellent work from Don there.

Despite that, it's still a Down nonetheless. Your writer is still baffled the referee allowed this.
