10 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 21)

9. Shane Sets Elias Straight

Shane McMahon is coming off like a manipulative piece of sh*t in his alliance with Elias, and that's a good thing.

The night began with the duo backstage. Elias walked in on Shane while he was on a call, then profusely apologised for how his Money In The Bank match with Roman Reigns went. Claiming that he put his full energy into his performance and that the crowd calling him names put him off his game, 'The Drifter' was in full grovel mode, telling 'The Best In The World' that he and his family deserved better.

C*ntery ensued. When Elias offered to corner McMahon at Super Showdown, Shane said "nah," claiming he didn't need anyone's help to beat Roman Reigns. McMahon then insisted that he would accompany Elias for that night's bout, thus dealing the most definitive "sit down" moment of the whole evening.

This is emasculating, but it'll reap dividends for Elias. Imagine the pop when he finally turns on this bell-end.
