5. A Giant Phobia

"Wrestler X is terrified of reptiles" was the understandably obvious well WWE went to with Jake Roberts when 'The Snake' had little else to work with, but there was something special between the psychological wizard and the limited Andre The Giant that helped make magic over three pay-per-views during an era the company only held four.

Andre had strangled Jake at Survivor Series then bailed from the Royal Rumble at the mere sight of Damien, providing this 'Show Of Shows' payoff with all the physical callbacks needed as well as a final battle between long-standing WrestleMania rivals Giant and Big John Studd.

The cute little nods to times past between the mammoth stars added more colour to a match that didn't really deal in the black and white to begin with. It wasn't clever, but it was big.
