10 Ups And 14 Downs For WWE In 2015 (So Far)

4. The Champ Is A Machine

To all the John Cena haters out there, you€™re not alone. But if your dislike of John Cena the character can€™t be separated from John Cena the performer, then you have problems. Regardless of how you feel about Cena€™s tired act, he has spent the past three months churning out some of the best matches on WWE programming week in and week out. His John Cena United States Championship open challenge has become a staple of Raw each week. Before the feud with Kevin Owens began, it was interesting to see who would stroll down the ramp to take a swing at the champ. Dean Ambrose, Stardust, Zack Ryder, Sami Zayn and Neville all have had their shots, and while Cena has come out on top, each of them got a good to great match with him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0nsoap5JBY Cena€™s feud with Owens has put the former NXT Champion on the map in WWE, providing him with the best launch to a WWE career in ages. Cena€™s two matches against Cesaro have catapulted the Swiss Superman right to the top of fans€™ conversations (their first match actually closed out the first half of 2015 on June 29). It€™s unclear how much longer this will continue (Cena could lose his U.S. title on Sunday in the rubber match with Owens), but Cena€™s run during the first half has been a joy for fans who enjoy in-ring performances.
