10 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 10)

7. Using Roman Properly

Despite the shower of boos that greeted him, Roman Reigns was booked pretty smartly Monday night, more in line with how he got himself over in the first place.

Reigns bailed out Sasha Banks and Charlotte after they provoked Rusev to open Raw, then teamed with Sasha to tangle with their Hell in a Cell opponents. At the critical moment, Reigns dove over top of Sasha to spear Rusev and ensure the win for his team. That dramatic, eye-popping spear was the kind of thing that turns even the most jaded viewer into a fan, even though he wants to boo Roman.

It’s going to take time for fans to rally behind Reigns again, but not booking him to be a superhero overcoming everything or a smug leading man will help with that.
