It’s arguable that feuding with John Cena somewhat derailed the Club’s progress in WWE for the past couple months. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were a dominant tag team in New Japan, and they came into WWE and took out one of the biggest tag teams in recent company history, the Usos.

But they spent the last couple months seconding AJ Styles in his battles with John Cena, serving as AJ’s heavies and often taking an Attitude Adjustment for their troubles. So with Gallows and Anderson now on Raw and Styles on SmackDown, it was going to be interesting to see how the duo fared.

Right out of the chute, they made a huge statement by dismantling WWE Tag Team Champions the New Day, interrupting their celebration for being the longest reigning tag champs (at least, this iteration of the tag titles). The beatdown was quick, simple and effective. A SummerSlam tag title match between these two teams would be fun to watch.
