3. Two Stellar Fatal Four-Ways

Really, you could wax poetic about both fatal four-way matches and not run out of good things to say. Both bouts provided excellent action, with competitiveness and false finishes that made all eight wrestlers look strong, kicking off Raw’s new era in fine fashion.

The first four-way bout really looked like any of the competitors could win, with Kevin Owens coming close on a few occasions, Cesaro nearly pulling it off, and even Rusev being dominant at a couple points – and fans seemed to buy into all of it. Similarly, the second four-way match seemed to between Sami Zayn, Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho (no one really thought Sheamus was going to win, did they?).

And while you could grumble about who won each match (and who lost), no one really looked inferior or that they didn’t belong, which is in itself a big positive.
