10 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE SummerSlam 2019

9. ‘Keep My Name Out Of Your Mouth’

The moment Buddy Murphy dimed out Rowan as Roman Reigns’ alleged attacker, you had to think he was on borrowed time.

Murphy was battling Apollo Crews in a nothing kickoff show match when Rowan attacked him outside the ring, drawing a DQ. Rowan continued to pound on Buddy, powerbombing him into the ringpost to lay him out. It was a short, simple bit, but it kept the issue top-of-mind and moved the story along – during the kickoff show, no less.

The match itself was decent up until that point, but this gave it more purpose. Let’s just hope Murphy doesn’t disappear from WWE TV for another four months.
