10 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 4)

2. Cena On Hiatus Again?

Last week, John Cena returned from a two-month absence with no explanation given for his sudden departure after losing the United States Championship against Alberto Del Rio. He goaded his way into a U.S. title match against Del Rio, which he won by DQ. It only would have made sense that he demanded another shot Monday night. But Cena didn€™t ask for a title rematch on Monday. In fact, he didn€™t even show up on Raw Monday night. And once again, no reason was given for his absence just one week after returning. Given that he was in the main event last week and was attacked by the League of Nations, you would have thought that Cena would have had revenge on his mind. But you would have thought wrong. Now that the Royal Rumble match carries much bigger stakes, perhaps Cena will return for good next week and announce his participation. Or hopefully he€™ll at least show up to work next Monday.
