8. Corbin Has Fun With A Promo

Sometimes, you have to take note of little things that show someone is trying to make improvements, even if it’s something that’s not seen by a lot of people. Case in point: Baron Corbin made an appearance during the SummerSlam preshow.

Corbin walked onto the set while the panel was discussing various matches, grabbed a mic and began complaining about how he was supposed to have a PPV match against Kalisto (whom he has been bullying for weeks since they both lost an Intercontinental Championship #1 contender match), but the luchador was hurt. Baron said that Kalisto feigned the injury and now was costing him money, which is what he was all about (getting paid).

He then looked at Booker T and commented, “Nice watch. Mine costs more,” before continuing to threaten Kalisto and walking off without answering questions.

It was a short promo that probably only a handful of WWE fans actually saw, but it was effective. Hopefully, it was a trial run to repeat it on SmackDown. And hopefully, it’s a sign that Corbin’s new bully persona will be more than that and will include a little of the arrogant jock who’s in it for the money.
