In recent weeks, we’ve seen acting GM Baron Corbin get more and more brazen in his role, punishing everyone who stood up to him. He was set to become permanent GM with a forfeit win over Braun Strowman at TLC.

But Strowman showed up, albeit with his arm still in a sling. However, Corbin forgot that a TLC match is no-DQ, which meant that Apollo Crews, Bobby Lashley & Chad Gable, Finn Balor and even referee Heath Slater – all people who had been wronged by Baron – could help him out. Everyone took turns teeing off on Baron, with Kurt Angle returning to help drive the stake through Corbin’s heart.

In the end, Strowman was able to pin Corbin with one foot, ending the GM’s reign of terror and give Braun a Universal Championship match at Royal Rumble.

It was an appropriate way to depose Corbin, with the abusive GM getting his comeuppance in glorious fashion. That’s something you don’t see too often with heel authority figures, especially ones named McMahon.
