10 Venues That Should Host A Future WrestleMania

2. University Of Phoenix Stadium (Glendale, Arizona)

Opened: 2006 Capacity: 78,600 (standing room, with the stadium record being 78,603) The home of WrestleMania 26, this stadium is one of the more modern-looking venues in all of North American sports today. Looking like a spaceship in the middle of the desert, it immediately catches your attention and doesn't let go. Weather isn't going to be an issue. High temperatures during WrestleMania season are about 79 degrees (26 Celsius) with the low temps reaching about 53 degrees (12 Celsius). On top of that, you aren't really looking at much precipitation, if any at all. A retractable roof means that any precipitation wouldn't end up mattering, anyway. Mania 26 saw the roof opened on a few different occasions throughout the night. Next to the stadium is the Westgate Entertainment District, which is eight million square feet of dining, shopping, entertainment, sporting venues (the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes play in the Gila River Arena on the property), parks, high-end condominiums and office spaces. It gives visitors plenty of options and opportunities to eat, drink and have fun before or after events. One of the key selling points for Westgate is WaterDance Plaza, which is a 60,000 US gallon "dancing fountain" display. There is no shortage of things to do or experience in the nearby surroundings. WWE likes to run Mania at venues that have hosted or will host the Super Bowl, and this stadium has hosted the game twice, including this year. It will also host the NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship in 2017, which is another one of the most viewed sporting events in North America.
