Opened: 1999 Capacity: 74,500 Readers who don't live in the United Kingdom are now up in arms over the idea of any WWE pay-per-view, especially WrestleMania, being held outside of North America. There really is no reason to be. The biggest concern people seem to have is the time difference. For Mania season, GMT is four hours ahead of EST, which is the time used and mentioned on WWE programming. That means a pay-per-view beginning at 7pm EST, which Mania would be, would start at 11pm GMT. Not the earliest of start dates, but if you told the people of the UK that they would have to stay up a bit later to be able to host WrestleMania, there probably wouldn't be very many complaints. Millennium Stadium is a gorgeous venue in the heart of Cardiff, Wales. With a retractable roof, weather won't be an issue. If the weather even looks like it could be bad, you close the roof. Otherwise, you leave it open and let the atmosphere shine. The architecture is unlike just about anything seen in North America. The surrounding neighborhood is very visitor-friendly, and places like nearby Cardiff Bay is a very popular area with locals and visitors alike with restaurants, shops, museums and beautiful scenery. What might hurt Millennium Stadium as far as WrestleMania is concerned is the lack of worldwide "pizzazz" that Wales has. Wales isn't the "big name" that England, Northern Ireland or Scotland are. It might be a lot more difficult to "sell" Wales to the rest of the world, no matter how nice a place it may be.
