10 Very Possible Wrestling News Headlines From 2025

3. Rampage Beats SmackDown

Steve Austin
AEW

In both demographics and overall viewership, AEW Dynamite will defeat Monday Night Raw long before 2025.

If All Elite Wrestling's secondary show manages to topple the jewel in WWE's crown, there stands the best chance of a paradigm shift way beyond critical acclaim. Rights fees agreements have been everything to the company for several years now, and defeat against opposition would do significant damage at the negotiation table.

It's here where AEW's actual quality might be able to land a blow on Vince McMahon's monolithic organisation. For the longest time, fans who've watched Monday Night Wars documentaries have assumed that the spirit of competition might provoke McMahon into making a good wrestling show again.

This has been proven objectively false in the two years since AEW launched, but challenging the dollar amounts is a different beast - if Networks ask why the market leader are pulling numbers like the supposed Number Two, how long before the old Vince readies himself for one more (and last?) battle?
