10 Ways AEW Can Ensure Success In Year 2
4. Action Figure Diversification
The diversification of AEW’s figure waves may be out of anyone’s control due to basic economics.
If a certain character is always sold out, they are likely to make another version of that figure before taking a risk while incurring more production cost on a brand-new figure.
Fans can expect to see main-event wrestlers and the Executive Vice Presidents to be recurring installments in the Unrivaled Collection as they will likely always be profitable and their head and face molds are already scanned, sculpted and painted.
Ideally, those in-charge will hold off on releasing those characters who already had figures with previous companies; this hasn’t been the case with Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho in wave one, Dustin Rhodes and Jon Moxley in wave two, and Pac, so far, in wave three.
It is also concerning that the recently-released Ringside Exclusive two-pack features repaints of two figures we’ve already seen.
These exclusives could be better serviced bringing in more niche characters with more limited production but if they want to put out 15 different Kenny Omegas, there won’t be many complaints.
