10 Ways Brock Lesnar Is A Modern Big Van Vader

9. They've Both Worked With Outstanding Managers

Considering that these are two men who prefer to let their actions speak for them, they both enjoyed a lot of success in part due to being paired with excellent managers. Lesnar has almost always been associated with Paul Heyman, whose gift for the gab made him an excellent manager. Heyman€™s unbelievable ability to sell absolutely anything, as well as his ability to emphasize strengths and conceal weaknesses, allowed him to present Lesnar as the biggest Superstar ever. Considering how people perceive Lesnar these days, it€™s highly likely that he succeeded in convincing people that he was right. Meanwhile, Vader also had his own great manager, but unlike Heyman, who used his creativity and unmatched speaking abilities to put Lesnar over, Vader had the legendary Harley Race managing him throughout his WCW career. Race€™s own legitimacy drew in considerable attention, and for him to support an athlete like Vader amplified the Mastodon€™s reputation and perception among wrestling fans. Vader also enjoyed the managerial services of Paul Bearer, whose own star power made Vader seem like an even bigger star. Both Vader and Lesnar were prime examples of managers succeeding in putting their charges over as major stars. Heyman€™s over-the-top and dramatic selling made Lesnar appear to be the most dangerous human being alive, while Harley Race€™s presence made Vader look like a million bucks. That said, out of the two of them, Lesnar had the better manager, because Heyman can make anyone look like the biggest star on the planet.
