10 Ways Elimination Chamber Changed WWE's Future

1. Dean Ambrose Is On A WWE Title Trajectory

Elimination Chamber was as close as you can get to making a new champion, without actually making a new champion. In a brilliant use of the old Dusty finish, Dean Ambrose appeared to win the WWE Championship. However, the original referee had been knocked out, and it was a replacement referee who made the 3 count. When the original ref came around, he declared it a DQ, with the title not changing hands. But this was still a huge night for Ambrose. That finish was a sign that WWE sees him as a future champion, and the positive reaction was justification for continuing to push him hard. It now looks as if the company might be going down the route of Roman Reigns winning the Money In The Bank, with Ambrose perhaps winning the WWE Title legitimately. That would then establish the all Shield triple threat, with Rollins putting in his rematch clause and Reigns his briefcase. It remains to be seen, but that was definitely the way things appeared to be shaping up as Elimination Chamber went off the air. What a future that would be!
