10 Ways To Make WWE SmackDown Important On USA Network

4. Don't Repeat Matches

This isn't another rant about the amount of times Randy Orton and Sheamus have been paired together on television within the last few years. The issue with SmackDown is that the card is often made up simply of rematches from recent episodes of Raw. On top of that, if a match pairing on SmackDown works out nicely, it's almost a dead cert that the contest will occur again on the next episode of Raw. If WWE is serious about turning SmackDown into a worthwhile television programme, they need to snap out of the mindset that they can blindly rerun matches from SmackDown on the following Raw. Viewers could be forgiven for thinking at the current time that there is little reason to watch the blue brand given that the best moments of the show will be repeated in glossier fashion when the next episode of Raw comes around. SmackDown matches should feel special in the same way that matches on Raw do. That can only happen if they are exclusive to that show and aren't going to be immediately repeated.
