Nobody can deny that WWE have tried to make Roman Reigns the new top guy in WWE and at times it's been a valiant effort, but we're now one year on from the Royal Rumble debacle of 2015 and things aren't much better. Reigns gets a portion of the audience who cheer for him, but WWE seem set on putting him up against other fan favourites and the audience always chooses the other star whether it's Bryan, Ambrose or Lesnar. Roman Reigns is a talented performer and had some of the best pay per-view matches in the first half of 2015, but in the summer of 2016, it's time for WWE to pull the plug and turn Reigns heel. The story is there: Reigns did everything right and he got screwed time and time again and the fans laughed and cheered each time he failed, now it's time for Roman Reigns to do his own thing and trample over everyone else to get to the top. With a returning Rollins on the babyface side and Cesaro, there's fresh matches for a villainous Roman Reigns to go up against. A SummerSlam title match with a heroic John Cena could also do wonders for the Samoan Bad Ass. However they decide to execute the turn, the best thing for the Roman Reigns character this summer, is to become a villain, otherwise, it's gonna be an extremely tough year for a performer who deserves much better creative.
