10 Ways WWE Can Guarantee Royal Rumble 2017 Sell-Out

5. Keep Everyone Strong

Going into the Rumble, WWE want you to believe that legitimately anybody can win. Everyone knows this is false, of course, and hell will freeze over before Enzo Amore headlines WrestleMania. There are only a handful of guys who can legitimately win the Rumble every year, but there needs to be a certain amount of unpredictability throughout the build: something that WWE haven’t exactly excelled at in recent years.

This means building-up a number of credible winners instead of focusing on a single superstar. Realistically speaking, this year’s winner is going to be one of Raw & SmackDown’s currently title contenders, or a comeback king like Finn Balor. That’s a pool of less than 10 wrestlers, but those are all the contenders WWE need, and at this point, picking the 2017 Rumble’s victory is incredibly difficult.

WWE must ensure that things stay this way until the event itself. The major players must be kept strong, and Dean Ambrose should walk into San Antonio with just as much chance of winning as Goldberg or Seth Rollins. Furthermore, if WWE are able to make all of their main eventers look like potential victors, the shock of somebody else winning will be even greater. Keeping things balanced at the top of the card is absolutely critical, and will playing a huge role in deciding 2017’s success.
