7. Subtle Booking

Subtlety in television is such a simple thing to produce yet it can create the most rewarding effects for ardent, observant fans.

Great examples of using subtleties to foreshadow future events can be found in shows like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, or House of Cards. While it's been absent from WWE television for years on top of years, once upon a time the company knew how to book subtly. Granted, it was during the Reagan administration, but they did it nonetheless,

Remember WWE's slow-build break-up of Randy Savage & Miss Elizabeth and Hulk Hogan? How a seemingly innocuous hug or a gently placed hand was all fans saw for months before it ultimately led to the Mega Powers exploding? How about Bret Hart's slowly-but-surely evolving heel turn that culminated the night after WrestleMania 13 and made for some of the best television WWE ever produced?

Aside from the booker, or writers, creating these little nuggets of greatness, capable talent is an absolute must. While much of today's talents have not been tested in those scenarios, surely there are numerous superstars on the main roster who would excel at subtlety if given the chance.
