In addition to viewers having to put up with phony, wooden promos in 2017, the storylines and product in general is insulting to anyone that doesn't call themselves a "wrestling fan". I dare you to try and watch 15 minutes of RAW or SmackDown with any casual television viewer that does not watch WWE and you'll see what I'm talking about. Hell, even the most loyal WWE fans are tired of having their intelligence insulted on a regular basis.

Can we please go back to the attitude that the fans aren't dumb? It's actually become quite fashionable in television today, if WWE needs another reason.

Could you imagine David Benioff and D.B. Weiss approving the dreck that's seen on RAW for even a single episode of Game Of Thrones? How about Vince Gilligan adopting Vince McMahon's "fans won't remember" attitude when working on Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul?

There're countless reasons why insulting the viewer's intelligence in 2017 is not a smart move. Unfortunately, WWE just doesn't seem to care.
