10 Ways WWE Can Save RETRIBUTION

8. "Fire" Them

Let's face it, WWE have an amazing penchant for revisionist history, and seem to think their fans have the memory of a goldfish even at the best of times.

There have been exceptions to this rule, of course, like the company-lampooning trip down Bray Wyatt and John Cena's memory lane that was the Firefly Fun House match, but this compulsion of writing wrongs by simply pretending they didn't happen could work in RETRIBUTION's favour.

The group seemed so much more compelling and their motivations much easier to buy into when they were unsigned wrestlers breaking into WWE productions. Ali's entire motivation in his promos is plain and simply "I hate that you felt you couldn't profit from me, and now you will pay for it".

How much better could this angle be should WWE kayfabe fire the group, leaving them to skulk back into the shadows until their perfect opportunity to strike back when the dust of their terrible first run has settled a touch?

Bringing the group back with a more focussed, driven, and deadly ethos will make up for the time lost, and WWE's excellent editing team can make an appropriately cherry-picked selection of the groups best bits to pretend they were that way all along.
