10 Ways WWE Fixed Broken NXT Call-Ups

6. Street Profits

As of this writing, The Street Profits are still the Raw Tag Team Champions, and that's how this generously counts on WWE "fixing" one of the weirder call-ups in the history the process.

The Street Profits had only just gotten over over on the black-and-gold brand before being taken off it. A Tag Team Title victory at TakeOver: XXV was their major moment on the brand, but they were apparently needed as Monday Night Raw talking props ahead of them being able to make many more.

Appearing backstage to mark out or mock the events of the evening while still wearing their NXT Tag Team Championship belts, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins were there for their patter first and physicality second, before over-scripting strangled most of the fun out of their gimmicks anyway. From there it was on to SNL-style updates before the pair finally got in the ring and were allowed a little more dynamism until the global b*stard reduced things to bowling, basketball and ninjas. At least by then they'd won the belts.
