10 Ways WWE Has Changed Since Raw 1000

6. The Shield Changed The Headline Scene

Look at the headline acts on Raw 1000. Out of CM Punk, John Cena, The Rock, Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar and Triple H, only four of those men are still around. From that quartet, one is retired and the other three only wrestle a part time schedule. That's quite the shift in headline talent.

The end of 2012 brought about an even bigger change for WWE. At Survivor Series, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose debuted as The Shield and would, within four years, all become World Champions. Even examining the other main eventers in WWE around the same time, like Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio and Big Show, proves how different things are now.

There can be no denying that The Shield's introduction to the main roster changed WWE's headline pack. Having some fresh faces capable of (and over enough to) work main events let WWE push guys like Big Show into the background.
