10 Ways WWE Made A Mark Out Of You In 2014

10. Brock Lesnar Is A Legitimate Tough Guy

It's amazing how many fans buy into Brock Lesnar's 'toughness'. Many fans really do believe he's a hard-man. Here's the thing though, nowadays Brock Lesnar spends most of his time shooting deer and driving tractors. He hasn't done anything meaningfully athletic since beating Shane Carwin at UFC 116 in July 2010. That's over four years ago - and even then he took a bit of a pasting himself. As for his final two UFC fights, Lesnar got convincingly destroyed in the first rounds. You think Lesnar's a tough guy? Go watch him running away from Cain Velasquez in the cage at UFC 121. We've hardly ever seen another man running away during a MMA fight, yet the reputed 'toughest man alive' was cowering during the one sided battle. A real tough guy would be Velasquez, who bloodied and made Lesnar look ordinary. Brock then followed that up by getting beat by Alistair Overeem, an average opponent who then lost his own next two fights. So, when it comes to toughness, Brock Lesnar really isn't all that. UFC hardcores don't even consider him a MMA legend; he's remembered mostly as a novelty who had fleeting success for around one year. Yes, Lesnar did look 'badass' against John Cena at SummerSlam, but it was all a work. WWE have presented Lesnar as a 'Beast', when in fact he's just a farmer from Minnesota. If you think a pair of MMA gloves and shorts makes him one of the toughest men alive, then you've became a mark for WWE's glossy presentation of Lesnar. He's just a character.
