4. Sue CM Punk
Could WWE sue CM Punk? There are a couple of grounds they could potentially do this on. One, which was presumably settled during their trip to court, would be to get him on breach of contract. Punk's decision to go home and not honour various dates he was advertised for was obviously against the wishes if his employers. But as Punk alluded to during his interview with Cobana, he was an independent contractor during his time with the company which will obviously play a part in any potential court dates. Some have already began to speculate whether Punk might have exaggerated the extent of his medical problems during his final months with the company. If he has blown things out of proportion or falsified their procedures, he could find himself in hot water with the authorities. We are being uber-cynicle here but we cannot rule out such issues in these early days following the podcast. Finally, as is the case with most firings, we are surprised there was not a clause in the settlement which prevented Punk from speaking out on any issue relating to the backstage goings on and the terms of his release. Despite the fact he didn't disclose any solid figures, he did give us all a lot more information than we were expecting to hear which could have breached a couple of bullet points on their settlement.
