10 WCW Moments So Bad They’ll STILL Blow Your Mind
6. Get Excited About Scriptwriters!
Poor Bobby Heenan.
Just look at his face there - he'd pretty much rather be anywhere else, and who can blame him? The 'Brain' and Tony Schiavone were tasked with sitting there live on air for the 18 October 1999 edition of Nitro and pretending they were moist around the loins because WCW had some new scriptwriters.
Yes, yes WCW actually put this onto the format sheets. They paused the matches, angles and action to remind viewers at home that Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara were now calling the shots. The commentators might as well have said: 'Look, we know the product's been a big sh*t lately, but it'll pick up now Russo is here'.
That is so dumb. Wrestling fans don't want to hear nonsense like that when they're tuning in to watch and have fun. Imagine WWE updated you via Raw or SmackDown whenever somebody new joined the creative team? That'd be on par with this idiotic, immersion-breaking content.
