10 Weird Wrestling Matches That Drew Incredible TV Ratings

9. Lo Down vs. The Dudley Boyz (Raw - 22 January 2001) - 5.70

Oh boy, remember when the WWF clad poor D'Lo Brown in traditional Indian dress, stuck him with an ex-Headbanger and had Tiger Ali Singh cut his promos? Though Lo Down had struggled as a high-energy tag-team pre-Singh, it wasn't until nobody's favourite Indian wrestler came in that the duo flopped badly.

Brown and Chaz (formerly Mosh) looked like morons at best in their get-up, and they were even replaced in the 2001 Royal Rumble by comedian Drew Carey. Yes, both members were ousted by a non-wrestling funny man. That's why they were given a WWF Tag Title shot against The Dudley Boyz on the 22 January 2001 Raw.

It outdrew Steve Austin.

Seriously.

The main event of Kurt Angle & Trish Stratus vs. Stephanie McMahon & Triple H (no Ronda Rousey here) scored a 5.66, even with the Austin run-in at the end everyone knew was coming. Meanwhile, Lo Down's dull shot at the tag belts came in at 5.70.
