10. Perry Saturn & Moppy

Allegedly a punishment for assaulting a jobber during a dark match, Perry Saturn was lumbered with the gimmick as a man in love with a mop. Ironically though, it became the highlight of Saturn's run in the WWE. Although Saturn would probably not be happy to be best remembered for his work with Moppy, the sheer absurdity of the gimmick was hilarious. After suffering a storyline concussion, Saturn started to display erratic behaviour, which peaked when he fell in love with a mop that he believed was alive. Saturn's on-screen compassion and commitment to the gimmick meant that he became a sympathetic character, turned face as a result, and Moppy became a character all of its own. Saturn's former flame Terri told him to choose between her and the mop, and he chose the latter. Terri sided with Saturn's rival Raven as a consequence, and in one of the most upsetting moments in wrestling history, Raven threw Moppy into a woodchipper. With Moppy no more, Saturn dropped the gimmick, but wouldn't last much longer in WWE.
