10 Weirdest Abandoned WWE Moments

7. Shelton Benjamin Is Up To Something*

*Nothing. He was up to nothing. But for a while there, he looked to be up to something.

The spring of 2019 was an absolutely batsh*t period in WWE canon. Genuinely, it might have been more deranged than Vince's pandemic output. Wild Card Rules, Two out of Three Falls matches all of the time, The Revival being repackaged as toddlers with threadworm: it was a bold strategy with which to redirect the conversation away from upstart promotion All Elite Wrestling, and beyond the more unforgettable bouts of lunacy, Shelton Benjamin was asked on July 2 who he believed was going to win the WWE Title at Extreme Rules: Kofi Kingston or Samoa Joe?

Instead of saying "Kofi, obviously, Joe lost the US Title 24 hours before the match was made," Benjamin seemed to contemplate the question before looking from side to side as a creepy, mischievous grin materialised on his face. He was thinking about something he knew that you didn't, except, he had no f*cking clue either because nobody else did. This strange, over-acted deal was abandoned almost instantly.

Was he planning on interfering in the match, knowing that getting a title shot was just that easy?

Or was he simply chuckling at how sh*tty the show was?
