10 Weirdest Mind-Blowing Wrestling Facts (According To Reddit)

1. Finn Bálor's Six Minutes Of Magic

Finn Bálor
NWA

It apparently took just six minutes for New Japan Pro Wrestling bosses to make up their mind on whether or not to sign the future Finn Bálor.

It was after Fergal Devitt had worked this match that NJPW scouts allegedly got him an offer to attend their Dojo, thus opening the door for him to kick off a legendary and life-changing run for the King Of Sports.

Reddit user (and former wrestler Nikita Allanov) SovietShooter added some additional colour:

Holy sh*t, I didn't know there was actually decent video of this show floating around! I worked this show, might have even been the match right after this. Dave Marquez was there representing NJPW (Inoki was still a member of the NWA at that point), and the showcase match from the Inoki Dojo was Alex Koslov vs Tommy Chang. As far as I know Devitt was the only one to get an offer to go to the NJPW Dojo directly, but Chad Allegra, Chance Prophet, and myself all got offers to go to the Inoki Dojo in LA. I had just got married and bought a house a few months before, so I told Marquez I couldn't relocate to LA, and that was kinda the end of my shot at Japan. I believe Chance went to train in LA for a couple weeks but couldn't stay, and Chad moved to LA and was re-gimmicked as "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson.
