10 Weirdest WWE Raw Main Events Ever
1. Howard Finkel vs Harvey Wippleman - January 9th 1995
The early days of Monday Night Raw were filled with some odd main events, like a very young Matt Hardy losing a squash match to Nikolai Volkoff in 1994, but none were as disturbing as this one from January 9th 1995.
Manager Harvey Wippleman had never been a fan of ring announcer Howard Finkel, so the two were booked to blow off some steam against each other on Raw. But this was no ordinary match - this was a Tuxedo Match.
This stipulation had actually been building for nearly a year, when Wipplemen disrobed The Fink at WrestleMania X, but that didn't make the sight of scrawny two middle-aged ripping each other's clothes off any easier to watch.
For two-and-a-half cringe-inducing minutes, Finkel and Wippleman rolled around the ring like two toddlers trying to walk, before Howard "won" the match at the cost of his own dignity.
This wouldn't be the final time The Fink competed in this type of clash, as he fought Tony Chimel in a Tuxedo Match in 1999 and got his ass handed to him by Lillian Garcia in 2002.
He put up with a lot of rubbish, that man.
