10 Weirdest WWE Royal Rumble Entrants
3. Kharma (2012)
This is a case of context creating contention. When Kharma sent an afeared Michael Cole scrambling over the top rope with her 2012 Royal Rumble incursion, nobody really batted an eyelid. But what was the implication of her inclusion?
That she was so monstrous, she could even scare the men. You know, not unlike Chyna. Or that Michael Cole was such a wimp he'd been scared off by a woman, albeit one who could clearly kick his rear.
This, for various obvious reasons, simply would not fly today, even if it's true that Kharma could have easily competed with her male colleagues. That's not really the point.
At the time, Kharma's one-off appearance was treated like a novelty, as she became one of just a handful of women to make a Rumble appearance. Now, it just serves to highlight the desperate lack of gender parity prevalent in the company at the time. In the context of women's Royal Rumbles, it's a touch weird.
