10 Wild Creative Pitches Wrestlers Made To Get Into WWE

1. Bobby Lashley Wanted To Get Fat

Throughout the pandemic, not that the bloody thing is in the past tense sadly, a lot of people gained weight. I did. There was nothing to do except work in between helping out with the parenting, and once that was over, and you were permitted your one allocated bit of outdoor exercise, which was basically a walk in the exact same place, it was all too easy to simply eat your feelings.

Imagine getting paid to do that?

Another bit of a cheat here, since Bobby Lashley was already in WWE, but that's what he wanted to do, incredibly enough. Maybe working Apollo Crews for literally three straight months wasn't something worth putting on Twitter as "GOATed faction", since Bobby would rather have...done that.

Speaking to the Notsam Wrestling podcast, he said he wanted his character to absorb an embarrassing loss, enter a severe depression, and "just be fat" until MVP shook him from his stupor and got him back to winning ways. He reckons that crowds would have enjoyed watching him shed the weight and become the hoss destroyer all over again.

The problem, and Vince McMahon pointed this out, is that it is surely impossible for Lashley, an actual freak, to put on the weight.
