10 Wild Outside Bets To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2020

1. Rusev

He's over.

Rusev is over now, which excuses fake representation and implied sexual assault, much less artless, sh*t creative, because people are cheering for him. He's really over, except when he wrestles, which is what counts, and the crowd falls silent as they did at TLC throughout his boring grudge match with Bobby Lashley.

That was just one match, and the car crash fiasco of the wedding did generate a massive ratings bump, but it was a far more effective ratings grab than the sort of deft storytelling that may inform the heat of a match. People wanted to see Lana's face get caked, which is different to, say, wanting to see Rusev go over Brock Lesnar. It's a comedy midcard role that Rusev is playing, and, naturally, it's a star vehicle for Lana, who has thrilled Vince with her fusion of two vintage McMahon selling points: shrill go-away heat and two heckin' puppies.

He's found himself a Sable/Vickie Guerrero hybrid, and her being the General Manager of Monday Night RAW is more likely than Rusev pointing at the WrestleMania sign.

Well, they all point at it, but you get the idea.
