Ricochet is currently embroiled in a self-own of a storyline that is also, like so much in WWE, completely backwards.

He's feuding with RETRIBUTION, but he lost to the Final Boss on the first level when Ali defeated him on the November 9 RAW. He has subsequently eaten defeats to MACE and Slapjack, which should inform the strength of Ali's sales pitch, which itself is such a damning assessment of the WWE system:

"They treat you like sh*t, and they should because you're evidently a loser, so why not join us, the other losers broken by this broken system? You'll get a cool mask and a new name that comically describes a real weapon. You can be 'Bouncing Bomb'."

This arc is so f*cked. It's impossible to believe in Ricochet and trace his journey because he's done nothing to inspire that belief. RETRIBUTION are the worst act of 2020, they lost their first match as a group of chaos agents intent on destroying the very WWE system, and they're 3-1 up on Ricochet, who had to rely on - F*CK! - Dana Brooke to score an 88th minute consolation goal.

He isn't winning the Royal Rumble. But he's not so far away from the other contenders in the graveyard, so...
