10 Wild Outside Bets To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2021

4. Jinder Mahal

Scheduled to make a return to in-ring action imminently as part of the eight-man NXT India Championship tournament, Jinder Mahal is good to go.

But there is, according to some unimaginative fantasy bookers out there, unfinished business on WWE's main roster. Jinder Mahal used to be in the same stable as WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. The stable was called 3MB. The stable was sh*t. They alongside Heath Slater played a trio of geeks who pretended they were in a rock band as a pun on Slater's inexplicable nickname. Widely regarded as a complete, career-killing joke, it has somehow formed the basis of a theoretical top programme.

"There's so much story!"

Not...really. What's the story? What possible story could WWE tell here?

"Jinder and Drew have worked their way up from a sh*tty act nobody cared about, and look at them now!"

It's a self-own with no dramatic heft.

But WWE has inexplicably used the awfulness of its recent past to drive the present. Bray Wyatt tried to lull Braun Strowman back to the swamp, which - scaled down - is not unlike Ted DiBiase tempting 1998 Steve Austin with the Million Dollar Title.

And so expect Jinder in this scenario to win the Rumble and tell Drew that "You were the Marty Jannetty of 3MB!"

Buddy, they were all Erik Watts in Tekno Team 2000.
