10 Wild WrestleMania 32 Predictions That Could Come True
6. An NXT Superstar Will Win The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
The purpose of the now-annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal is to give somebody a push at a WrestleMania event while also paying tribute to arguably the most iconic big man in professional wrestling history, Andre the Giant. The match debuted at WrestleMania XXX and was won by Cesaro, a performer WWE has long been invested in, with the second edition being won by Big Show. While Show wasn't exactly receiving a career push, it made sense for him to win a battle royal honouring a fellow giant. WrestleMania 31 also featured the introduction of an NXT tournament to determine one of the entrants in the Battle Royal, eventually won by Hideo Itami, and one can only assume the return will be back this year. Given NXT's sharp rise in popularity since the beginning of 2015, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal offers the perfect platform for an NXT superstar to win and make the transition to the main roster. While we're making outlandish predictions, let's up the stakes: that person will be Samoa Joe. A two-for-one prediction, arent you lucky? Currently locked in a mini-feud with Sami Zayn on NXT to determine the number one contender for Finn Balor's NXT Championship, it's assumed that Zayn will overcome the odds and setup an encounter with Balor at NXT TakeOver: Dallas just two nights before WrestleMania. On the other hand, Samoa Joe will tear through the NXT roster and claim a spot in the Battle Royal after winning the tournament final at TakeOver: Dallas, claim victory at Mania and show up on Raw as a fully-fledged member of the WWE main roster.
Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
