5. The SECOND Ultimate Warrior Death Hoax

People really were insistent that the Ultimate Warrior had died...several times over.

Deepening the myth that he had died sometime between SummerSlam 1991 and WrestleMania VIII, some believed - being seven years old and f*cking stupid - that he had been replaced by the Texas Tornado, but you couldn't tell on account of the face paint.

But this isn't the only death myth surrounding the Ultimate Warrior.

A lot of people were somehow led to believe that Warrior had died in the late 1980s under particularly horrific circumstances, and was reportedly replaced by some other generic musclehead with a terrible attitude.

The names of his opponents vary, as does the location of the tragic in-ring incident, but enough people somehow heard a provably b*llocks story that it persists on message boards to this day: Warrior died after attempting to gorilla press slam André the Giant in the Philippines, the sheer strain behind which - on top of his tassels being tied too tightly (!) - caused his bicep muscles to rupture. He promptly died from internal bleeding. Apparently.

This didn't happen, of course.

You'd have a bloody job finding a wrestler equally as sh*tty to replace him convincingly.
