Australia and New Zealand seem to be churning out quality female professional wrestlers at will these days, and the name at the forefront of that particular revolution is without doubt Madison Eagles. She has evolved into one of the most consistent pro wrestlers on the planet, the sort of performer who can have a good to great match with anyone at any time.

You may or may not take the list seriously, but by topping the PWI Female 50 in 2011, Eagles became the first non-WWE or TNA performer to take that accolade. Women's wrestling wasn't afforded the spotlight then that it is now, so read into that what you will. She deserves the chance through sheer dedication and ability.

Size, speed, technique, character: Eagles has it all. You need a dastardly heel? Madison Eagles. Hotter than fire babyface? Madison Eagles. Future NXT Women's Champion? Madison Eagles.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
