10 Women WWE Must Sign In 2017

3. Candice LeRae

Speaking of independent female wrestling stars, is there a bigger name on the scene today than Candice LeRae? She's broken barriers over the last few years, becoming one of the biggest stars in PWG despite Super Dragon's reluctance to book females at all. As far as identifiable babyface wrestlers go, Candice LeRae is up there with the best.

She also has a large fanbase already, and of all the possible individuals who could turn up she will be the most spoken about. What she brings to the table is clear: in-ring excellence, babyface fire, and a most glorious look.

She may well be the best Western female pro wrestler not signed to WWE right now. She recently married Johnny Gargano, and the increased profile of Johnny Wrestling leads to the assumption that it is only a matter of time before Candice joins him in the big leagues.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
