3. Goldberg

When Goldberg arrived in WWE in 2003, many believed it was too little too late. The Invasion had long been consigned to the bin of history, and WCW had been devalued so much that anyone's achievements in the now-dead company were reduced to dirt. Still, Goldberg was the only big time WCW star who carried true weight at the time, so upon arriving in WWE he was moved immediately into a feud with The Rock.

The two would have one singles match, a match that was the main event of the 2003 Backlash event. Goldberg rightly picked up the win, but having Big Bad Bill work an almost 15 minute match in his first real WWE showcase was a mistake. As The Rock was focusing more on Hollywood than headlocks at this point, a two-minute Lesnar Survivor Series 2016 squash would have been far more effective.

With Goldberg back in the fold, could we see a re-match between two of the biggest icons in sports entertainment history? I wouldn't bet on that any time soon...
