Another match from 2002, another bout that saw The Rock go one-on-one with a future world champion and WWE Hall of Famer, and another match that we would never see again. The Rock and Eddie Guerrero did battle on RAW as the WWE built towards SummerSlam, where Rocky would defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against another man he would face just once, but more on that shortly.

The Rock vs. Eddie Guerrero was a great example of The Rock showing what he can do inside the ring, as opposed to relying on his charisma and speaking ability to shine though. He found himself up against a wrestler who was every bit as confident as himself, a performer looking for that stage on which to shine brightest for the first time. This was that stage for Eddie Guerrero.

Latino Heat proved himself to be every bit the equal of The Great One, the two trading counters and reversals in a nine-minute match that impressed purists as much as it did the excited fans in attendance. It was Rocky who pulled out the victory at the last, hitting the future World Champion with the People's Elbow.
