3. Ignoring The Tag Team Division

Long gone are the days of The Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boyz, and Edge and Christian tearing it up for 30 minutes at WrestleMania. Now we see the Viking Raiders tearing through jobbers, and the Usos versus Revival that seems as never ending as the digits of pi. Sure, we got The OC grabbing the titles now but the fact that they didn’t even earn a shot shows how valued those titles are at this point.

SmackDown may be even worse. Daniel Bryan and Rowan had to try to save that division, which they did help but it was like pouring water on a grease fire. It might seem like a good idea, but you’re only going to make the issue worse. And it is a very confusing issue that WWE has created for themselves.

Think of the talent that WWE has in the tag team division and then look at the product they’re allowed to create and there is a very clear discrepancy. With AEW treating tag team action like main event quality contests, WWE is convinced that tag teams are relegated to the middle of the card. Which is even more odd considering that Kofi built his legacy to get to the championship through the tag division.

But the real issue may not lie with the fact that they don’t know what they’re doing, rather they don’t have time for them. A lot of the programs now overlap between Raw and SmackDown, and that is all due to...
