10 Worst Actors In WWE History
6. Rob Van Dam
Some might say that the best wrestlers are those that can play both sides of the fence: adored babyface and abhorrent heel. It’s not an easy thing to do though, not in equal measure especially, and it's the case for many that they find their niche and stay there. The Miz, Mr Kennedy and Bobby Lashley: just great examples of guys who struggle to play a convincing good guy.
Rob Van Dam was special in that his lack of acting chops pretty much made him the polar opposite. After the conclusion of the Invasion angle, RVD never played a heel during his tenure with the WWE and in all fairness it's difficult to picture such a thing working.
Now, I’m not here to actually cuss out Van Dam for his promo ability. Unlike most of this list, the guy can actually speak when given a microphone. His range is very limited though, and all the emotion he brings can hardly be called “acting”. RVD’s incredibly laidback character is no character at all, that’s just the real guy you’re seeing.
Luckily RVD has never really been asked to do anything that exposes his lack of acting experience. Instead, the character has remained completely consistent for 20 years and it needn’t be more complicated than pointing to his own shoulders.
