During the Spring of 2002, Chris Jericho was the 'Undisputed' WWF Heavyweight Champion. At Vengeance in December, he had defeated both Steve Austin and The Rock in the same night to capture the prize. Things would go downhill from there for the man, who was feuding with a returning Triple H by March. The reason for this was that 'The Game' had won the Royal Rumble, and was facing Jericho at WrestleMania X-8. Given that The Rock was colliding with Hulk Hogan on the Pay-Per-View, it would have made sense for the company to concoct a serious, compelling storyline for their lead champion. That didn't happen. Instead, Chris Jericho - as the WWF Champ - became Stephanie McMahon's personal dog walker. That's right, 'Y2J' was shunted to the background, so Stephanie and Triple H could be the focus of the feud. In the process, the dog ended up being run over. Known as Lucy, she was apparently Triple H's pride and joy. This was a sorry state of affairs for Jericho, who even had to pick up dog turds on episodes of Raw. He was supposed to be riding high as a killer heel, one fans would be begging to see Triple H defeat. Instead, he was a glorified lackey for Stephanie's dog.
