10 Worst Bladers In Wrestling History
4. Bill Alfonso
Bill Alfonso suffers a similar fate to Eddie, one bad mistake damning him in the eyes of bladers everywhere. Like Vince McMahon, Alfonso wasn't a trained wrestler, but was rather a referee-turned-manager.
His greatest successes were in ECW. Initially hired to portray a hard-line ref, who would disqualify wrestlers for chair shots (a grave sin in ECW), he became a manager, famous for managingSabu, Taz during his yearlong winning streak, and Rob Van Dam during his lengthy TV title reign.
In 1997, he and Rob Van Dam fought Beulah McGillicutty & Tommy Dreamer at the As Good As It Gets event, and was cracked over the head with a cookie sheet. He blades and, like Guerrero, slices the artery in his forehead.
For the next five minutes, Alfonso bleeds heavily from the gash in his head, so much so that, according to Paul Heyman, he needed to be hospitalised following the match after losingone thirdof the blood in his body. Herman refers to it as the bloodiest match in ECW history and the guy doing the bleeding wasn't even a wrestler.
If you blade so badly that you, no joke, could have died, then your place on this list is assured.
