10 Worst Botches In AEW History

3. Mike Tyson - Dynamite 27/05/2020

Even in his mid-50s, 'Iron' Mike Tyson is a terrifying man. Sure, his recent gimmicky boxing endeavour wasn't the most exciting, but it is a safe assumption to believe that 'The Baddest Man on the Planet' is still a very, very bad man. You'd have to be tough or insane (preferably both) to pick a fight with Tyson.

Unless you're a t-shirt, of course.

Mike Tyson's confrontation with Chris Jericho seems to have been lost to history, but it will be always be remembered for the revenge of the wrestling shirt. Tyson struggled terribly to rip the shirt off his own back in a moment of energetic violence, succeeded only in slightly tearing the thing before struggling to get it off at all. It may well have been the least bad-ass moment of Tyson's career.

Which is saying something, considering Tyson appeared on a Madonna album in 2015.

Jericho vs. Tyson remains on the shelf for the time being, but it may well be that AEW gets more mileage and more money out of booking a battle between The Baddest Man on the Planet and the t-shirt manufacturer who embarrassed Tyson on this episode of Dynamite.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
